I'm Andrew Bird. A lot of friends and colleagues call me Bird. Originally from Queens and raised in Lake Naomi, Pennsylvania, I've spent 14+ years making photographs that matter. Started out as a solo creative grinding, failing, learning the freelance world— with aspirations of turning a passion into a career from the ground up—then moved into studio photography and grew into Senior Photographer at Saks Global, one of the largest fashion companies. Along the way, I've built systems that keep quality high while throughput scales. I've done this across e-commerce, lifestyle, and advertising, shooting everything from product to leadership portraiture.

But my roots run deeper than studio walls. I'm drawn to landscape, wildlife, travel, and the raw expressions of people—ordinary and unordinary alike. Photography allows me to communicate what I feel, what I see. Every photograph I make is about capturing something real: emotion, narrative, the essence of a moment or a person. That's always been the through-line, whether I'm directing a commercial shoot or exploring Pennsylvania's hills or the High Sierras in Yosemite National Park.

The work taught me something straightforward: great photographs aren't just about technical mastery. It's about understanding what a story actually needs, making confident decisions under pressure, and making sure everyone around the table knows they're working with someone who gets it.

To this day, I carry the same passion that got me started—for the craft itself, for the people I work with, and for pushing photography forward. That commitment hasn't diminished. If anything, it's deeper. The work, the community, the constant evolution of what's possible—that's what drives me.
